Curious about therapy? You’ve come to the right place.

I’m Hali Riley (she/her), an experienced psychotherapist based in New York City. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York State. I also provide coaching services virtually beyond New York State.
I am queer, demisexual, ethically non-monogamous, kinky, and neurodiverse (ADHD). My approach is warm and enthusiastic, providing room for laughter and jokes as well as vulnerability and tears. While holding safe boundaries for my clients, I believe in the power of transparency and being my genuine self in my work with people. I am affirming and open-minded while encouraging you to try new ideas or behaviors that support your healing. In recognizing your personal strengths, I seek to empower and understand you. I’m going to meet you right as you are, right now.
My style is eclectic, meaning that I tailor techniques and theories best suited to you. I enjoy incorporating your interests in books, entertainment, and memes to create personalized therapy. We will work together to enhance your ability to think through problems, discover solutions, and deepen your relationships with yourself and others.
I specialize in working with adults of all ages who experience depression, anxiety, trauma, substance abuse, and relationship problems. I recognize diversity in sexuality as much more than LGBTQ+ identities, as I practice polyamory-affirmative psychotherapy, kink awareness, and sex positivity without unnecessarily making these identities the focus of treatment. Join me in an engaging space to talk about the challenges in your life at your own pace.
